Spokane Transit is looking for a highly-capable individual with exceptional management

and leadership skills that are required to successfully run the Customer

Service Department and carry out the day-to-day operations

at our downtown plaza location.

As the Customer Service and Plaza Operations Manager, you will be responsible

for all contact with transit system users and the general public at the plaza.

While actively engaging with the management team, you will demonstrate your

ability to analyze, discuss, and resolve operational issues. As the point of

contact for facilities and technology systems throughout the building,

you will ensure successful operations are carried out seven days per week.

YOU ARE

* A creative thinker and problem solver.

* Proficient within the Microsoft Office environment.

* Exceptional with establishing and maintaining courteous and tactful public employee relations.

* Excellent at analyzing and evaluating operations and customer response problems.

* Known for your ability to manage multiple priorities and projects

that require attention to detail.

* Knowledgeable with accounting and money procedures.

YOU HAVE

* A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

* 3-5 years' experience developing and implementing customer service strategies and programs.

* Strong written and oral communication skills.

* Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.

* The ability to coach and train employees to sharpen their skills.

* Commitment to public service.

* The ability to work with diverse population.

* Patience and empathy to deal with difficult situations.

YOU MIGHT HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH

* Call center software

* Cashier management

* Insurance or healthcare call centers

* Working for social service providers

* Working for public agencies

* Organizations with unions

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

* Plan, coordinate, and supervise the customer service call center and service counter operations.

* Coordinate, implement, track, and report on bus pass sales programs.

* Plan, assign, and evaluate employee duties.

* Coordinate daily operations with the property management company.

* Communicate with the maintenance team to address facilities issues.

* Coordinate with Spokane Transit Plaza Security.
